Operation Uplift is dedicated to providing these quality services to cancer survivors:

Free Breast Health Clinics:
Twice yearly clinics - usually in October and April are offered to women with no health care coverage.  A packet of information about breast health, a breast examination by a female nurse practitioner, a video and personal instruction on how to perform breast self-examination, and a voucher for a free follow-up mammogram for women determined by the examining nurse practitioner, to be in need.

Free Mammography:
Women without health care coverage, determined to be in need of a baseline mammogram, may ask their physician or other medical provider to contact Kim at 360-452-4895 to have a voucher request for a free baseline mammogram sent to the medical provider for verification.  You should sign and return the form.  You will then be sent a voucher from Operation Uplift.  Then schedule an appointment for the mammogram through Olympic Medical Center, advise OMC that you have a voucher from Operation Uplift, and that you will bring it with you on the day of your appointment.

Newsletter:
Operation Uplift publishes a newsletter with articles and information about events and programs.  Contact Operation Uplift at 457-5141 to be placed on the mailing list.

Outreach Project:
The North Olympic Peninsula Cancer Outreach Project challenges women who are cancer survivors to try some fun activities.  While participating in great events, you can learn new coping skills and you can work through the cancer experience with other women.  These great activities offer you relaxation techniques and fun excursions into our great Pacific Northwest.  The current activities are described on our News and Events page.

Women in cancer treatment participating in these activities will be given a release form.  As stamina and strength during and after treatment may be limited, women are encouraged to try exercises that are comfortable and safe for them.  Our instructors and facilitators will make every effort to accommodate individual abilities.
