Services

Operation Uplift is dedicated to providing quality services to cancer survivors and their families.

FREE BREAST HEALTH CLINIC

A yearly clinic, in October, is offered to women without health insurance or insurance that does not cover breast exam and/or mammograms. A packet of information about breast health, a breast examination by a female nurse practitioner, and a voucher for a free base line mammogram for women determined by the examining nurse practitioner, to be in need are provided.

FREE MAMMOGRAPHY

Vouchers are provided throughout the year, upon request from a doctor or health care professional, for women in need without insurance. We work with Olympic Medical Center to make this an uncomplicated experience for the patient. Contact the Operation Uplift on-call phone: 360-457-5141.

NEWSLETTER

Operation Uplift publishes a newsletter with articles and information about events and programs. Contact Operation Uplift at 457-5141 to be placed on the mailing list.

OUTREACH PROJECT

Operation Uplift offers a variety of fun activities for survivors. While participating in these events, you can learn new coping skills and work through the cancer experience with other survivors. As stamina and strength during and after treatment may be limited, women are encouraged to try exercises that are comfortable and safe for them. Our instructors and facilitators make every effort to accommodate individual abilities. The current activities are described on the Activities page.

SUPPORT GROUP

The Operation Uplift Women's Support Group meets on the third Wednesday of each month, 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. in the Operation Uplift Office, 118 S. Liberty Street. Women cancer survivors and their female relatives and friends are welcome. Jane Downie, Facilitator: 360-457-1792
